TEDA signed "Statement on Strengthening the Friendly Exchange and Cooperation" with the Commercial and Urban Promotion Bureau of Melbourne Government.

On May 30, 200, Mr. Ni Xiangyu , the vice-director of TEDA attended "Ceremony of the Signing of the Friendly Cooperation Agreement between Tianjin and Melbourne " held at the Sheraton Hotel in Tianjin, and signed "Statement on Strengthening Friendly and Cooperative Communication between the Commercial and Urban Promotion Bureau of Melbourne and Tianjin Economic-technological Development Area Administration Committee" with Mr. Sikete • Chapman, the Chief of Melbourne Commercial and Urban Promotion Bureau.  TEDA Administration Committee and Melbourne Commercial and Urban Promotion Bureau share same mission and responsibility on promoting economic and social development. Through this Statement, the two parties will establish a long-term and steady friendly cooperation relationship on aspects include urban construction planning, biological medicine, science and technology, education, trade and other fields of common interest. The Statement owns great significance to the promoting of cooperation between Tianjin and Melbourne since it is published during the 18th Annual Conference of the US Asia Association which was held in TEDA.
